This piece designed by Mario Botta for Morelato is an exclusive chair- sculpture, characterized by a distinctive style. Chaise, made of birch plywood veneered in maple, has a joint assembly with practical removable cushions applied to the seat and back, available in different fabric varieties and colors.
Born in Mendrisio, Ticino, he receives his professional degree in 1969 in Venice by Carlo Scarpa and Giuseppe Mazzariol.
His professional activity begins in 1970 in Lugano with single-family houses and subsequently he builds projects all over the world. He has always committed himself in an intense architectural research he is the founder of the new academy of architecture in Ticino.
His work has achieved international renown and important awards and has been presented in several exhibitions.
