ART 5199/F

YEAR 2014

As the winning project of the 11th edition of the “Significant Furniture” Competition, the Metamorfosi has turned real: a chair – clothes rack made of ash. Each part of the chair makes it multifunctional; the back becomes a trouser rack, and the connection between the legs is perfect a shoe rack. Designed by the emerging designer Pietro Barcaccia, the Metamorfosi is an original contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional valet: a special and handy design piece.

He was born in 1991, in Marsciano, Perugia.
Always has a strong interest in the world of design and the need for real change materially their ideas.
Parallel to the course of study prepares its own laboratory where the only main character is “doing”.
He attended the State Institute of art in Perugia, section architecture and furniture.
After graduation he participated in a competition for a scholarship at the European Institute of Design (IED) positioning itself in third place, but he refused and continues his studies at La Sapienza University of Rome, where in 2013 he graduated cum laude in Industrial design course.
